About me
Hello, this is my story.
My name is Alex Osipov, also known as Ozipov™, and I am a professional artist from Vancouver Island, BC. With a background in art from Russia and Israel.
From an early age, I discovered my love for art and was consistently learning different art styles and materials at at the art school in Russia. In 1992, I relocated to Israel where I continued to explore different artistic styles and materials. This led me to obtain a Bachelor of Communication Arts degree with distinction from Israel.
In 1999, I moved to Calgary, Canada, where my career shifted towards the realm of Graphic and Web Design by day, but I always was looking to express myself in different art styles and medias. So in 2007 – 2008 for short period of time I was a devoted full-time artist, and my art pieces were sold in Canada and internationally, but parenting happened:) and I had to come back to my bread and butter – full time corporate job.
However, a few years ago we moved to Vancouver Island and living by the ocean ignited a newfound passion in me and inspired me to pursue art as my main career.
I was classically trained academically, but my artwork has evolved over the years, transitioning from realism and representational art to more modern expressionism and abstract realism that I currently embrace.
Today ocean define my main style. Each piece of artwork I create holds a piece of my soul and reflects my interpretation of everyday elements in nature such as pebbles on the beach connected with water, trees with the sky and the waves on shore, those angles that often go unnoticed. My art is meant to bring joy to those who view it. If my artwork pleases your eyes and touches a part of your soul, then it has fulfilled its purpose.
All of my artwork is meticulously crafted and entirely hand-painted using acrylic and oil on canvas. I take pride in the authenticity and uniqueness of each piece. It is my goal to inject a fresh perspective into the modern arts market, and I sincerely hope that you will find joy and inspiration in my creations.
